alpha Kappa Delta Phi is the largest Asian-American interest sorority in the nation! It was established at the University of California, Berkeley in the fall of 1989 and since then it has grown to be 43 chapters strong with over 1,000 members across the nation.

alpha Kappa Delta Phi has a strong purpose that enables it to thrive and grow. The purpose of alpha Kappa Delta Phi is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and Asian awareness in the University and community. The goals of the sorority are centered around the fulfillment of this purpose. Worthy causes such as the March of Dimes or Breast Cancer Awareness serve to benefit not only the ladies of alpha Kappa Delta Phi, but also the community as a whole. Academic achievements are one of the most important goals of the sorority and that is seen through our GPA requirements and study hours. The ladies of alpha Kappa Delta Phi work hard to improve society while strengthening the bonds of sisterhood that exist between each of us. With sisterhood, scholarship, and Asian awareness comes the leadership skills that are acquired to guide the sorority through new experiences and challenges.

The sorority is composed of strong women that have forged bonds of sisterhood, friendship, and love. Each sister is different and unique, lending a diverse character to the sorority. This enables a constant exchange of culture to flow through daily interactions. Through these daily interactions with each and every sister, the sorority offers the women support as they continue to succeed in all areas of life.

The lessons of sisterhood attained through membership in alpha Kappa Delta Phi are used throughout each sister’s life. The bonds that are made and the experiences that are encountered fill college years with unforgettable memories. These memories stay only to create new ones with the lifelong sisters that each KDPhi has.
